Who is behind Udessi?

Udessi is owned and run by Kim Wallace: “I am a Brisbane based artist and graphic designer born & raised in the Netherlands, and moved to Australia about 9 years ago. I have completely fallen in love with this beautiful country and the extraordinary art it has to offer, which has inspired me to start this online gallery offering a wide variety of unique, contemporary Australian artworks.

Through Udessi I hope to establish a strong community for Australian artists and designers to help them show their
skills and promote their artwork, and together create stronger awareness and exposure for unique art, craft and design in Australia."

We are currently seeking submissions from Australian artists and designers. If you are passionate about your art and would like to join the Udessi online gallery, please read on for more info! All artworks on the online gallery are hand selected ensuring a high quality of the pieces for sale. Your art will be featured alongside the works other great Australian artists and designers.  Artworks are currently offered on consignment only – for more information please download the Artist Terms & Conditions.

When choosing the artworks featured on Udessi, we look for the following:

• Concept uniqueness and originality.

• High quality of craftsmanship and finishing.

• Appropriateness and suitability for the Udessi website – consideration is given to whether the artwork fits in with the existing range of works whilst creating diversity within the collection.

• Udessi’s emphasis is on artworks that possess individual Australian flair and expression, either in the materials that are used to create it, the look and feel, the colours and textures, or the concept and story behind the work. However, all other artworks will be considered equally to ensure an appealing mix of pieces is available in the online gallery.

• Please note all artists must be residents of Australia and have an ABN (online applications are available at the ATO website).

Show us what you’ve got!

• Complete and email the application form, together with 3–5 images* of your work, to art@udessi.com.au

• Alternatively you can print and post your application together with 3–5 images* to:

* Please send us images/photos of your artworks only. We love being surprised by samples however please understand that these cannot be returned unless there is a self-addressed, stamped envelope/parcel included.

We will contact you within 5 working days of receiving your application, to let you know if we love your artwork and would like to sell it on the Udessi online gallery.

At Udessi we love working with artists from around Australia and our main focus is on promoting your art in the best possible way. Some of the advantages of selling with Udessi are listed below.

• The Udessi online gallery is a great opportunity for new and established artists as there is no need to build up a complete collection first – you can sell your art whether you are a fulltime artist or simply like to create a few artworks in your spare time.

• We photograph and upload your artworks, add your biography and artwork descriptions to the online gallery and handle payment, packaging and postage. We also handle all marketing and promotions for the website. This will ensure high quality and consistent look of the gallery and promotional material, and furthermore allow you to focus on what you do best – creating your art!

• Artists benefit from the large variety of art available for sale in the online gallery. The interesting and diverse mix of categories will provide a larger target audience resulting in greater exposure for all artists.

• All artists are kept up-to-date through the Udessi artist’s newsletter, which contains information on the latest developments at Udessi, promotions and upcoming events & exhibitions.

• Website visitors can sign up to the Udessi newsletter, featuring newly added artworks, upcoming events and artist showcases. This ensures customer awareness and provides added exposure for artists, as well as increasing the amount of return visits to the online gallery.
